I’ve made up so many scenarios in my head, you wouldn’t even believe it. From the moment when I said my goodbyes to Dev and Molly at the end of The Divide until the moment I got an e-ARC of The Destined on my kindle three weeks ago, I couldn’t stop thinking about what would happen in the final novel. ![]() If writing a review for the first two books in The Dreamland series was hard, just imagine how freaking impossible it is for me now. ♡ ♡ ♡ My thoughts ♡ ♡ ♡ A book series so ineffably well written should be illicit. ![]() Who is worth saving most-a nation or the one she loves? RATING| ∞ /∞ Cornered into making a heart-wrenching decision, Molly teeters between deliverance and damnation. Nightmares, betrayal, the fate of two worlds, and one man’s hunger for vengeance lead Molly down a twisted and dark path she fears she might never come back from. While Dev struggles to keep his home and hope alive, Molly and Rae find themselves forced to confront a desperately kept secret and quickly learn that a life-altering sacrifice is the asking price to restore order. With the loss of Terra’s greatest weapon, the war against darkness escalates rapidly, and time is on no one’s side. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The believeability of this book is also undermined by the fact that parts of the story do not stack up, are downright wrong and factually incorrect. Personally, I always find it very disappointing when talented writers do not pay sufficient attention to the editing process. While the overall plot of the story is great there are a lot times in it where, if Andrea Bramhall had paid just a little more attention to her writing and editing, small changes would have made huge improvements to the flow, comprehension and believeability of her story. As Rachel Beresford is apparently unable to mimic a range of accents from the Manchester area of North West England she is not the right person to narrate this novel and I don't understand why she was chosen. For me the biggest problem is that the producer and/or narrator have made the sweet natured, local Mancunian, heroine of the story Sasha sound like a posh bitch from the South of England. IMO there are a number of problems with this audiobook that make it quite unbelievable. ![]() ![]() I feel sorry to be picky because this story is both charming and very moving in places but I am disappointed with this audiobook from Andrea Bramhall whose work I have very much enjoyed in the past.
